We locals know that despite the fact that we have the French Quarter (the architecture is Spanish, not French), one of the biggest ethnic groups who have contributed to the local cuisine are the Italians.
Liuzza's Restaurant and Bar is an old New Orleans favorite. It is a true neighborhood place, where the hospitality is warm, the food is scrumptious and there is plenty of it - and the atmosphere is truly New Orleans. Our specialties include the Frenchuletta, a robust sandwich filled with all sorts of Italian meats and seasonings, Italian stuffed artichokes, and Lasagna. Other New Orleans fare includes outstanding po-boys, on really good French bread, plus salads, pastas, soups and our award-winning Cajun Andouille gumbo. Attire, like the atmosphere, is casual. ![]() Theresa Galbo |
